First things first: Please fill out our questionnaire! Make sure
you read the “About Us” page. When you’ve decided a Shih Tzu
is the dog for you, please contact us to reserve your puppy!

We are always taking names down for our waiting list, simply fill
out our questionnaire! Most of the time our puppies will be
sold well before they are ready for their forever homes. So don’
t wait until they are old enough to leave to purchase the puppy
of your choice.

A $200 deposit will hold your puppy once they’ve been born.
Prices for the puppies will be determined after their birth.
Deposits are non-refundable. Once your deposit has been
paid, your puppy will be held. Total amount for the puppy must
be paid by the time it reaches 8 weeks of age. However,
sometimes the puppy will not go to its forever home until 9-10
weeks of age, longer if we feel the puppy needs more time. We
are currently offering a 2-Year Replacement Puppy Guarantee.
This means that if a puppy you have purchased from us
develops a genetic defect within 2 years of age that results in
severe illness or death of puppy, we will replace it, but no
money will be refunded (except in special circumstances which
the seller will determine).

All puppies are registered/papered through APRI and/or AKC.
(Please visit
http://www.aprpets.org/FAQs.html to learn more
about APRI). All puppies also come with full registration rights
(unless AKC registered)  meaning they are not required to be
spayed or neutered (however, it is highly recommended).  If a
litter of puppies are AKC registered, full registration rights may
be considered, feel free to inquire. All puppies will be current
on vaccinations. A health certificate can be provided from our
vet if you request one. If your puppy will be shipped, a health
certificate is required. They will be well socialized with children
of all ages and other dogs. They will also come with a sample of
the food they’ve been eating, a toy and/or blankie.

Shipping is available to the 48 continental United States only.
Shipping charges do vary but usually run about $250. Because
Shih Tzu’s are very weather-sensitive, there are some months
during the year that they are not allowed to fly (excessive heat
or cold). When your puppy is shipped, a health certificate is
required from the vet, a crate and traveling kit are also
required. You are paying for those expenses as well as gas
(the closest airport is an hour away) and obviously the price
the airline charges to ship the puppy. A spot for the puppy
must be reserved in advanced, so we will have to find a day
that works for both of us ahead of time to make sure there is
room on the plane for that particular day. Please contact us if
you have further questions about shipping.

We do try to work with people and accept payments on puppies
up until they reach 10 weeks old. After the nonrefundable
deposit has been sent, you have until the puppy is 10 weeks
old to make payments. In special situations, we may be willing
to hang on to a puppy a little longer if need be. However, new
owners will be responsible for additional vaccination and food
costs.

If you have questions now and/or after purchasing a puppy,
please don’t hesitate to contact me. I will answer any questions
that I can. Thank you for your interest in a Royal Palm Shih Tzu!
